Mediation is much cheaper than a court case because there aren’t any normal legal fees. There are no surprise costs with the mediation process either because you are with the mediator for the majority of the time they spend on your case.
When you get involved in a court case, your case can become more public than you would like. Mediation is a confidential process, meaning no records, transcripts, or evidence that was brought up during mediation cannot be exposed.
Lawsuits take many months or years to resolve, but mediation only take days, weeks, or at most, a few months. If you are looking to work through your issues quickly and move on with your life, mediation is a good choice for you.
A mediator acts as a neutral third-party that helps all parties involved resolve their disputes by leading a discussion between them. They work together or separately with both parties to come to a resolution that both sides are happy with.
What Are People Saying?
Very much enjoyed this gentleman. He helped us through every step. He was early for the appointment, and got the job done in no time. I hope I never have to use a mediator again but if I do, I’m looking him up. You’re lucky to catch this guy.
